Chapter 4: The language of persuasion

The materials provided on this website support the Cambridge coursebook English Language and Literature for the IB Diploma. This section of materials is linked to Chapter 4: The language of persuasion. This is the second of two chapters which cover part 2 of the IB Language A: Language and Literature syllabus – Language and mass communication.

The materials can be used to supplement and extend the coursebook content, and links to the appropriate coursebook pages are given on individual sheets.

All materials, apart from images, give the choice of either PDF or Word format, which can be printed out and used as given, or edited to suit your needs. Student worksheets can be printed and completed by hand, or supplied to students in editable format, to allow them to be completed on-screen, and then printed out or saved as digital documents. Lesson plans are likewise supplied as PDFs or in an editable Word format for teachers to adapt to their own needs.
